- Adjustment of tape tension and pinch roller pressure.
- Checking and adjusting the position of the audio heads in relation to the tape.
- Demagnetisation of the audio heads and metal parts in the tape path.
- Adjustment of the output level to +4dB with a sinusoidal signal at the input of +4dB.
- Vumeter adjusted to 0 VU for +4dB output level.
- Adjusted with test tape, Level, EQ to 15, 7.5 3 3/4 at the play and Sync positions.
- Adjusted Level, EQ, Bias in recording for the same speeds. The operating level for. 0 ‘VU’ is +4dB.
